Organic Surge Moisture Boost Shampoo

I have dry hair which is frizzy. I tried many shampoos and then came across the Moisture Boost shampoo from Organic surge.
For people with dry hair, it is important to use shampoos that are hydrating and conditioning too is mandatory.
This shampoo is an organic product and all the ingredients are claimed to be naturally derived. It has a translucent color and runny texture with a very mild fragrance, but it is gentle to the hair and does not leave any residue that most of the shampoos do. The fragrance or the color may not be appealing to many but our hair cannot see neither can it smell rather it responds to the way we take care of it. Since it is an organic product, it does not cause much lather but does its job i.e. cleansing efficiently.
I am using this shampoo since a long time now, and it has improved the texture of my hair. Interestingly, it also made my hair straighter which was beyond my expectation.
Yes, the product is little expensive for the Indian market which is priced at Rs. 625 but it actually comes in a big bottle of 250 ml and also a very small amount is required to wash your entire hair, so it lasts longer.

Here is what the product claims:

Moisture Boost Shampoo cleanses your hair and scalp without removing their natural protective oils. Grape vine extract and wheat protein combine to soften and smooth the hair while antioxidant olive leaf extract and natural moisturizers work to restore silkiness and manageability. This gentle formula cares and protects to leave your hair feeling revitalized and healthy. Organic Surge shampoo is free from harsh foaming agents that strip hair of its natural oils and can cause scalp irritation.

The company says it is -
  • 98% natural shampoo
  • Untouched by harsh chemicals
  • Natural foaming action safeguards hair and scalp health
  • Enriched with hydrating aloe vera, olive leaf and grape vine extracts
  • Combats frizz and rehydrates to smooth hair and improve manageability
  • Animal-friendly, suitable for vegetarians and vegans
I cannot argue about its claims but in my opinion, it does what it is meant for.

Pros:

It treats the frizzes
It makes the hair manageable and imparts a shine.
It soothes itchy scalp or reduced scalp irritation.
It does not cause any harsh effect on the hair and scalp.

Cons:

This shampoo cannot be used without conditioner. Using this product makes after shampoo conditioning a must.

The Five Best Face Wash For Sensitive Skin

India is a land of Ayurveda since the era of the Vedas but with the turn of the century and with global consumer product manufacturers, we too have become worshiper of the ready-made products available in the market. Spoiled with choice we tend to try out every product that is launched newly. I am no exception and often find myself experimenting with new products. I have tried out many face washes launched by various brands, but having a sensitive skin, many of these affected my skin adversely. So here, I list out the five best face wash that really cleanses your face and do not generate any other side effects.

1.Himalaya Herbals Neem Face Wash

This is the best face wash I have ever used. It suits any skin type and it actually clears off acne. The most important thing is this face was does not contain any harmful chemicals like SLS and Parabens. Most importantly, it is the least expensive. This is a permanent cosmetic product that features in my list. Himalaya's Neem Face Wash contains neem oil a blended with turmeric. Neem tackles acne from the root and turmeric soothes the skin with its anti-inflammatory properties.

2. Ponds Pure White Deep Cleansing Facial Foam

Pond's Pure White claims contain activated carbon infusion that absorbs dirt and impurities thereby clearing the face of toxins. I do not have much opinion about its claims but this product is very good for oily skin. It has nice grey color and cleanse your face deeply. It does make the face a bit dry but that's what I like about Pond's Pure White. As people with oily and sensitive skin gets acne because of excess oil and this face wash prevents that.

3. Himalaya Herbals Oil Control Lemon Face Wash

Himalaya's Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash is a soap-free, herbal formulation. Blended with Lemon and Honey, the face wash leaves your skin clean without feeling dry and stretched. This removes oil and reduces risk of break out because of oil clogging in pours. Use it in summer or in humid conditions, you will not regret.

4.Olay Age Protect Anti Ageing Foaming Cleanser

Olay, as the brand name suggests, always creates good quality products. This face wash does what it is supposed to do that is cleansing and does not incur any harm on your skin. This product also has anti-ageing properties, which is visible slowly with long term usage, but it does reduces dark spots and blemishes.

It contains tea tree oil that has strong anti-microbial properties that prevents acne and various other skin infection. It also has antioxidant properties. This face wash has nice cooling effect on your skin that is really refreshing.
